Excel Baseball Academy is proud to partner with USA Baseball again for the summer of 2011. In 2010 Excel was selected to evaluate and run the National Team Identification Series (NTIS) events for the state of Alabama and will once again be in charge for 2011.

The objective of the NTIS program is to identify, within three distinct age groups (13U, 15U, 17U), the top talent in the Mid-Atlantic region to compete for spots on the USA National teams.

Last summer, two of Excel's represented players were selected through the NTIS National Tournament to participate on the Team USA National Teams. Cole Billingsley of Pell City High School was chosen to play with the 2010 16u Team USA National Team and Justin Camp of Austin High School was selected to participate in the 2011 Team USA National Trials.

Only 40 players at each age group at each NTIS event site will be allowed to compete for a chance to be selected for Team Mid-Atlantic.

(additional cities, dates could be added due to demand)

A minimum of 15 players will be selected for Team Mid-Atlantic at each age group from these events.

Up to 3 players at each age group may be selected to participate based on NTIS Director and committee selection (fee still required). Players may be selected based on performance at:
-Major showcase events at which director is present
-Individual scouting events and/or collegiate coaches recommendation
-Previous Mid-Atlantic Team experience

Cost of 2-Day camp and NTIS skills evaluation is $195*
Player Receives:

-Membership in USA Baseball
-Camp Shirt
-MLB and Collegiate level instruction
-Pro-style workout
-Scrimmage and situational game play
-Written evaluation of objective skills testing and comments

USA Baseball Cancellation Policy for all NTIS events – Participant Cancels Attendance:

Cancellations up to 8 days prior to the start of the event will receive a 50% refund of the registration fee. No exceptions will be made. The participating player or team will receive their refund within 30 days of the time of cancellation.
Cancellations within 7 days of the start of the event will forfeit the entire registration fee. No exceptions will be made.

Age Guidelines:
• 2011 17U NTIS: born on or after Jan. 1, 1994
(for the 2012 18U NT)

• 2011 15U NTIS: born on or after Jan. 1, 1996
(for the 2012 16U NT)

• 2011 13U NTIS: born on or after Jan. 1, 1998
(for the 2012 14U NT)

*If player is selected for Team Mid-Atlantic there will be an additional $200 fee to play in Cary, NC (Uniform/Coaches Fee)
